A visual redesign that has forged a relationship of trust
Cineverse, a team of volunteer film critics, reached out to me to redesign their website in 2019. Their simple yet interesting visual identity centered around the universe led to a successful realization, establishing a lasting trust relationship.

Cineverse wanted to break away from the generic appearance of its WordPress site to reflect a strong digital identity. Inspired by their ideology, "Cinema is vaster than space," I created a custom design highlighting the vastness and magic of cinema.

Highlighting the vastness of cinema

The site now features an immersive starry background on all review pages, plunging visitors into a galactic universe. The visual elements, from color choices to typography, subtly evoke space while remaining focused on cinema. This radical change in visual identity was made possible through a custom theme designed to reflect Cineverse's unique aspirations and provide an aesthetic and engaging navigation.
To meet the specific needs of Cineverse, several custom features have been integrated into the WordPress site.
  • A movie rating system, allowing visitors to rate and interact with reviews.
  • A dynamic presentation of authors, providing a more human and immersive experience, while highlighting the enthusiasts behind the reviews.
At the same time, I set up a Docker stack to simplify future developments. This infrastructure ensures smoother and more efficient management of the site, while facilitating the addition of new features over time.

The new website design has increased visitor engagement, with many returning frequently to read the latest reviews. Coupled with frequent posts on social media, the manager of Cineverse reports a threefold increase.
